There will be primarily three types of Motion Bank Public Events.
(1) Motion Bank Workshops: A series of six one-week workshops to take place at The Frankfurt Lab in the Spring and Autumn. Each workshop will include practical sessions, lectures and discussions on topics including score creation and use, documentation/ notation, reconstruction/ archives, interdisciplinary perspectives and hands-on tool use. They aim to provide an opportunity for professionals and advanced students to engage in practical research related to the creation of the on-line digital scores. Internationally recognised practitioners will be invited to teach and facilitate during each workshop. All disciplines are welcome.
(2) Guest Performances: After the preparatory phase of score creation, the choreographers will each perform their selected dance at The Frankfurt Lab for the public over a period of three evenings. One of these evenings will involve a lecture-performance during which the choreographers explain their concepts for the score creation work.
(3) Score Launch Events: When each score is finished a public launch event will be organised.
